As Halloween approaches, kids everywhere look forward to dressing up in something scary, ghoulish, or as their favorite cartoon character. However, why is that as one moves into their teens it is NOT cool to wear scary costumes anymore? I was shopping today and in the dressing room next to me was a teenager looking for a "scandalous" outfit to wear for Halloween. Apparently the clothes she picked out had too much cloth and were deemed "not very scandalous". I think she was trying on silk mini dresses and wanted it to look like lingerie. I don't know but is Halloween turning into a holiday where dressing like a hooker is allowed for teens and young adults? Don't get me wrong - I'm not a prude. I just think puting on a piece of lingerie (or something that resembles it) is not much of a costume nor it is very unique. I guess I've crossed over into adult world...
Anyone else out there agree with me?
