Cuff Me, Officer

I've been travelling alot lately (which is one reason I haven't blogged in a while) and today sitting in the airport I thought I would get online and check out new items at Elsewares.com. Of course I see lots of cute items I want to get for myself but I notice something different. Cuff bracelets with soda or beer brands on them. Even if you don't drink Guinness or Coca-Cola, these bracelets are a real conversation piece. Personally, I just think it's a fun new item for summer .
Please cuff me.

Designer Spotlight - Lauren Moffat

This week, I'm starting a new feature called Designer Spotlight. This week's addition is all about Lauren Moffat. Her collection incorporates a vintage vibe with a sweet and sexy style. It's a very feminine line but don't get me wrong it's not feminine like lavender sachets or rose patterns, it has a definite "edginess" to it.

Bio:
In October of 2000, Lauren Moffatt, along with partner Rob Pepin, launched their first collection of must have vintage-chic looks. For the first two seasons Miss Moffatt sewed all the pieces, over several hundred, out of her 31-foot sailboat home docked in NYC’s Hudson River.

Collections:
Spring 2007 & Summer 2007 (You can view her 2006 Resort collection online too)

Cheap Thrills

Of course I want that $485 bag or cute summer dress but really it's just an obsession. So to satisfy my need to buy clothes or what my boyfriend calls "unneccessary items" (I know, he's crazy) I shop at online stores or boutiques that are more in my price range/galaxy. Here's some cute summer finds from www.alloy.com that won't break the bank. And why not use that extra cash to go on a fun trip! (Savings Account? What's that?)

(shop online at www.alloy.com)

Hot, Hot, Hot!

Ok so during my daily window shopping (online shopping) I found this great handbag designer or rather designers. I give you Toni and Ben of Hayden-Harnett. They formed this Brooklyn based line of handbags and accessories - these are made for practical use but with top of the line materials and stunning details. I was going to feature just one of their bags in a blog about travelling but then I kept finding more and more purses, totes, and clutches I just couldn't ignore. I want to share all of them with you; however, that would be pointless since you can view them on their website - www.haydenharnett.com.

Have a "Beachy" time

I'm so excited it's Friday! I live for the weekends...sleeping in until 10am, spending the afternoon outside, being a couch potato...well you get the point. This afternoon I'm heading over to Nikki Beach in South Beach and before you say anything, let me explain myself. I know I've said, "I'm not a 'SoBe' girl." And I still stand by that statement. I'm going with some friends and to be honest I'm really looking forward to it. I've never been...so see, it's not like I go every weekend. Anyways, back to my point. In trying to find something perfect to wear, I came across some great finds for the beach (Nikki Beach included.)
